At CubicYardKit, your privacy is paramount. This policy discloses how we handle user data, cookies, browser LocalStorage project files, and third-party advertising partners.
1. Our Commitment to Data Minimization
CubicYardKit operates on a privacy-by-design framework. We do not require account registration, passwords, email sign-ups, or credit card submissions to use our calculation engines or project material planners.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
2. Client-Side LocalStorage Project Data
When you click "Save to My Projects" in our calculators or the Patio Material Planner, your project dimensions, materials, and bills of materials are saved directly in your own browser using HTML5 LocalStorage under the key cubicyardkit_saved_projects_v1.
This data lives exclusively on your local device. It is never transmitted to, collected by, or stored on our servers. You can clear this data at any time by using the "Delete" button inside the Saved Projects dialog or by clearing your browser's site cookies and local storage.
3. Google AdSense & Cookie Disclosures
We use third-party advertising companies, specifically Google AdSense, to serve advertisements when you visit our website. These companies may use cookies and web beacons to collect non-personally identifiable information about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to our website or other websites across the Internet.

4. Server Logs & Anonymous Telemetry
Like most web platforms, our hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs standard, non-personally identifiable server connection records:
- Browser type, operating system, and device screen size.
- Referring/exit pages and general geographic region (country/state level for edge CDN routing).
- Date and time stamps of requests to optimize cache performance and defend against DDoS attacks.
These server logs are never linked to any personally identifiable information.
5. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on your location (such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California), you possess specific rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Know & Access: The right to request information regarding categories of personal data collected.
